On your first visit to our friendly office, you will be welcomed as a member of our family and our receptionist will greet you with a warm smile. You will then be asked to fill out some forms which will help us gain some information about you and your condition. We will also review with you what our privacy policies are that will protect your personal health information.

Dr. Shields will then talk with you and ask you some specific questions regarding your condition to determine if he feels chiropractic care may be of benefit to you. If he feels that he can help you, he will tell you. If he feels he cannot help you, he will refer you to a doctor that will be able to help you the most. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.

After a thorough consultation with the doctor, you will have a complete chiropractic examination. This will include testing your reflexes, your ability to turn and bend as well as other standard orthopedic, neurological, postural, and physical examinations. The doctor will gain valuable information regarding your condition so he may have a better understanding of how he will be able to help you. If necessary, the doctor may take X-rays on site or refer you for additional testing procedures.

Once all the information and examinations have been performed, the doctor will ask you to schedule your next appointment. At your present or next appointment, he will discuss his findings and make his recommendations for your specific treatment program.

Our office participates in many insurance programs. To find out if your insurance covers chiropractic care, you can call Dr. Shield's office directly at 603 329-9333 and ask for our billing specialist, Michelle. You will find that she is extremely helpful in these matters.

For patients who have little or no chiropractic insurance coverage, flexible payment programs can be arranged through our helpful office staff. We accept cash, personal checks, as well as, credit card payments.
